January, 1746: Bonnie Prince Charlie and his army occupied Glasgow and demanded 'provender' from Tennent's.
Mid-19th Century: Glasgow had grown into a heavy industry and commerce powerhouse.
1885: Hugh Tennent introduced a new, lighter, more refreshing beer to the city's thirsty citizens: Tennent's Lager. The result: immediate success.
1893: It's fine reputation now spreading overseas, Tennent's Lager won the highest award at the Chicago World's Fair.
By the 1950s: Tennent's was being delivered to hundreds of bars all over Scotland and today, it remains Scotland's favourite beer.
