Tennent's was the first lager to be brewed in Scotland. An authentic Scottish lager with a distinctive, crisp taste...it remains Scotland's favourite beer, brewed with a passion only the Scots possess!

It's success: high quality, natural ingredients; purest water, finest Scottish barley, and the care and experience which only 400 years of family brewing heritage can bring.

Glasgow, 1556: The family established their first brewery near a medieval cathedral in the heart of what was then a small town.

January, 1746: Bonnie Prince Charlie and his army occupied Glasgow and demanded 'provender' from Tennent's.

Mid-19th Century: Glasgow had grown into a heavy industry and commerce powerhouse.

1885: Hugh Tennent introduced a new, lighter, more refreshing beer to the city's thirsty citizens: Tennent's Lager. The result: immediate success.

1893: It's fine reputation now spreading overseas, Tennent's Lager won the highest award at the Chicago World's Fair.

By the 1950s: Tennent's was being delivered to hundreds of bars all over Scotland and today, it remains Scotland's favourite beer.
